1840 marked the transition towards the fully shaped shirt which we know today.
The front or bib of this shirt is pleated in much the same way as earlier shirts but the square under-arm gussets finally gave way to the set in shoulder.
These shirts are made up in an excellently authentic cotton cambric which has no disturbingly modern easi-care qualities.
Curved shirt tails.
